Cricket Guiro - Afroton

Cricket Guiro - Afroton

INFO

The güiro is a Latin American percussion instrument consisting of an open-ended, hollow gourd with parallel notches cut in one side. It is played by rubbing a stick along the notches to produce a ratchet sound. This particular one has a fitting design for the authentic "crikkit" sound created by scratching the included wooden scraper across the cricket's bottom. Though intended for ages 3 and up, the Wood Cricket Guiro is fun for both kids and adults. Brought to us from Afro-Ton Malta.
