Fender Stratocaster 62 Reissue - CIJ | 1997-2000
Creme de la Creme ... here we are looking at a faboulous looking Fender Stratocaster, a Japanese 1962 reissue model with US pickups (as issued originally from factory). From it's appearances, it is a very faithful recreation of the original. When this guitar was made in the late 90s.
This one has a nice cream finish over what looks like an alder body. The factory used a quality three-ply white pickguard which creamed a little but time... giving it more of an attractive look. On the back, the cavity cover does not come with it.
The neck is super-nice, with great frets (vintage thin wire) with loads of life still left in them. The rosewood fretboard is a nice high quality dark piece. It has a small headstock with the proper logos and vintage-style inline tuners. The rest of the hardware includes a vintage-style tremolo bridge with vintage bent steel saddles.
All of these features are nice, but the magic of this guitar is in its electronics. These USA made ST-Vintage pickups are super-hot. It has the total package of the amazing looks and the perfect tone!
Like any of the Japanese-made Fender guitars, it is very well made, with great leveled frets. 23+ years later the finish still shines, though it has gotten a few nicks from normal playing.
