Fender American Standard Stratocaster 1989 | USA
Very early Fender American Standard Stratocaster in a 3 tone sunburst finish with a maple fretboard. An absolutely stunning guitar with minor play wear and a sound that is truly unique to the American Standards of the late '80s. The instrument is all original and is in excellent condition. It has been professionaly set up and perfectly adjusted in our shop and comes in its original Fender hardshell case. A real gem & definite must-have for any serious collector or player!
It is found to be in great shape for its age - various surface marks & light play wear. No major damage & everything is in perfect working condition. It has a perfectly shaped maple neck with black dot inlays. Frets show very little light wear, but have plenty of life in them ... around 95% of it. Fender sealed tuners all in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width (slightly wider than the more typical Fender nut width of 1 5/8"); 25 1/2" scale length. The Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition. It has a contoured, solid alder body with "swimming pool" pickup rout.
The 3 tone Sunburst finish is superb & really pops against the white pickguard & maple neck giving it the authentic strat look. Two-point tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles although the tremolo arm is missing. 3-ply white pickguard showing some pick wear, but is in great shape overall with no cracks. 3-ply white trem cover also shows some light buckle rash, but no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 9.3 oz. Original Fender single coils. Bridge. Master volume & dual tone controls with 5-way selector switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
