Fender Stratocaster Hard Tail 1976 | USA
Jaws wide open; and drooool!! what a joy to see such an instrument in our little shop. Unique to the 1971 to 1981 Stratocaster era we have this three-bolt neck, bullet truss rod and enlarged headstock Fender Stratocaster from 1976. Finished in a see-through celulosic mocha brown. The body itself has dings, marks and weather checking to the finish which gives it that incredible original mojo look. The ash body wood has a substantial weight which gives it that rich sustain and brilliant trebles. The woodveins can be seen through the finish and simply looks fantastic. The pickups have a clear and percussive tone.
The black pickguard, white knobs and pickguard give it the typical mid-70's look. The neck, too has a 70's u-shape with a round-lam rosewood fingerboard. Frets don't have much life in them although it plays just fine, would require a refret some time soon though.
P.S no guitars have been hurt, damaged or scratched in this photoshoot :P
