This G&L Legacy Semi-Hollow features an ash body with a natural gloss finish. The maple neck is G&L's #1 classic 'C' shape, so it's beefy, round and extremely comfortable. The fretboard is in maple with dot inlays and has a 12" radius. Electronically, this guitar is decked out with three G&L CLF-100 Alnico 5 single-coil pickups. These are the result of decades of research by pickup designer Paul Gagon, and they're pretty much the perfect single coil alnico pickup. We love the way the sparkly high-end complements the warm mid range of the semi hollow design. The 12:1 ratio tuners work wonderfully and will keep everything locked down, even after you lean into G&L's dual fulcrum vibrato. This is the perfect way to get classic American single-coil shimmer with a little something extra.
 
PLAYER'S PERSPECTIVE 
This semi-hollow Legacy is one of the most unorthodox, unique and musical designs on the market. The sound is unlike anything we've heard: It's the perfect blend of authentic single-coil brilliance with semi-hollow warmth. There's plenty of jangle and sparkle, but each note has more depth and body than we're used to on S-style designs. Put this guitar through a clean setting on a nice tube amp, and you've got rich, 3-dimensional tone that'll thrive in just about any musical setting. The playing experience of this guitar is like an old friend. The neck is a comfortable and familiar C shape, the strings bend easily, and every position is smooth and perfectly intonated.
If you're looking for a traditional design with a twist, this guitar needs to be on your radar. Easily one of the coolest guitars we've seen in a while.
