Gibson SG Standard | 1999
Not much to be said about the Gibson SG that you do not already know about. One of the sexiest guitars ever to be played by guitarists. This Gibson SG is from 1999 - 21 years since it was made in Gibson's Nashville plant. The condition of this guitar is very good considering its time of use. No breaks or repairs of any sort. A great straight neck with loads of life left in the frets. Finished in the standard heritage cherry finish. It has the usual signs of use and two minor dings which are barely noticeble around the body. Nothing that affects its playability, just adds to its Mojo!! It is set up with a great low action. Comes along with the Gibson hard shell with that iconic brown tolex.
Here is some more details about the SG in case you want to update yourself:
The Gibson SG was introduced in 1961 as a complete replacement for the Les Paul. The new design was thought to be a more modern solidbody guitar, with sleek beveled edges and two sharp cutaways. By late 1963, the Les Paul moniker was dropped, and the SG (or Solid Guitar) became an entirely separate model. The SG has remained in steady production ever since earning a place as one of the truly classic solidbody guitars. Throughout the '90s and into the 2000s, Gibson has produced a number of different production SGs, though the SG Standard has stayed largely the same.
