Need gear for a gig, a wedding band, a festival side-stage or a one-off session in Malta? Sun-Sounds rents backline by the day from our shop in Sliema — drum kits, guitar and bass amps, a full PA system, cymbals and a digital piano, ready to load up and play. Self-collect is free, or we'll deliver and set it up for you.

PA systems: our LD Systems Maui 28 G2

The newest addition to the fleet is a 3-channel line array PA — an LD Systems Maui 28 G2, a plug-and-play column system that's easy to set up and sounds properly big for its size. It's ideal for weddings, gigs and small-to-medium events where you need clean, even coverage without a full production rig. From €150/day, self-collect free or we deliver and run the line check for you.

The rest of the backline fleet

Behind the kit, we rent a Tama Artstart II or Premier 4-piece drum kit with hardware at €200/day, plus a full Sabian cymbal set at €120/day if you need to fill one out. On the amp side there's a Marshall Valvestate guitar combo at €60/day and an Ashdown bass combo at €90/day, both gig-ready for any stage.

For keys, our flagship rental is a Yamaha Digital Piano (Clavinova CLP-440) at €250/day — weighted keys, stage-ready, straight into a PA or venue system. A Casio CDPS1100 stage keyboard is available too at €60/day, and if you just need stands or a drum throne, those rent separately from €50/day.

How booking works

Booking is by the day: email or call with your dates and what you need, and we'll confirm availability and quote. Multi-day hires get cheaper per day — day one at full rate, day two at half, day three at quarter. Self-collection is free from our Sliema shop, or delivery and setup starts from €250 depending on venue, day and time. A refundable € security deposit (or your ID card) is required on all backline hires.
