Fender Stratocaster ST314-60 | HSS rare E-serial | '84-'87 | MIJ

This one is a keeper for any guitarist. A rare 1984 - '87 Fender Stratocaster HSS E serial MIJ. Finished in Sharp Black with a matching black pickguard - 100% original. Assembled and built in one of the most reknown guitar factories in the world - Fuji-Gen Japan.
 
It is said to be a Boxer Series model which was Fender Japan's 'modern' offerings in the late 80s; they were only made from 1984-7. This here is a medium scale Strat, so that's a 24.75" scale ... basically like a Les Paul. This creates a particular vibe, making it extra slinky under the fingers, slim and easy in the hands, also offering a warmer tone. The single coils are awesome: chiming, bright and sparkly with a tasty warm body and juicy rounded low end, the humbucker gives the guitar a more versatile sounds. An all rounder kinda guitar.
 
It's in amazing shape for a 35+ year old guitar; the frets are great with ample life left in them, the maple neck with rosewood fretboard and a 4 Bolt on tilt adjusted neck are super cleaner. Aside from some slight dings and scuffs around the body it is super tidy. The guitar is in an overall great condition with wear from its existence but nothing that doesn't add to its mojo, pre-loved guitar look... and of course nothing that effects its playability or sound. 
 
These E serial guitars followed the uber-collectable JV serial stuff, made just a year or two later by the same hands in the same factory, so this absolutely has 'the magic' in it. Don't count on seeing another one of these anytime soon! 
 
Action is set low, neck is straight, intonation is brilliant, truss rod works like a charm. The machine heads are AMAZING. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets look amazing, they've either been replaced or very nicely dressed recently. Wearing fresh 9-42 coated Daddario XT strings it is set to bring out the mad love for music in you!
