Waterstone 12 TP12 String Bass

Wawawivaaa! 12 string Bass, have you ever heard of this out of this world configuration before???   This good looking instrument came in the other day and has been drawing some serious attention… the Waterstone TP-12/32 12-String Bass Guitar.  It is a used instrument found in mint condition, has upgraded locking strap buttons. The bass also comes with an extra hard case that is very hard to find for this kind of bass. 
 
Waterstone has taken the concept of a 12-string bass formed it into a fine instrument. Its mahogany semi-hollowbody construction, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard match perfectly with its dual humbucker pickups. The TP-12 was also a derivative of one of their earliest guitar models. It has a piano like quality that has been used by jazz and rock players alike. The quality of this instrument is unsurpassed.
 
Tom Petersson, an American musician who uses this bass, is best known for being the bass guitar player for the rock band Cheap Trick. Before joining Cheap Trick in November 1973, Petersson played in a number of bands, including the Bol Weevils, the Grim Reapers, Fuse, and Sick Man of Europe. With the band, Petersson toured from their early club days through to arena headlining shows.  During this period, Petersson’s 12 string bass guitar was developed in collaboration with Hamer Guitars.  Rick Nielsen notes at every show that Tom is “the inventor of the 12-string bass”
