Fender Japan's most popular model. The 62 reissue with US pickups

Domestic product usually sold only in the Japanese guitar market.
Made out of a basswood body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard.
Following the traditional specs of the stratocaster from that time.
Equipped with USA vintage pickups.

Fender '62 Strat, sunburst, made in Japan 1994. If any guitar in the universe is 'often imitated', surely the '62 sunburst Strat has got to be it. The look is beyond classic, it's a genre all of it's own. This one dates to late in the Fujigen era of Fender Japan; the famed craftsmanship and tidy wood selection these models are famous for is definitely on offer here. It feels very reassuring in the hands; it's an easy player and has the instant mojo that comes with being 'made with love'. The tone is all-Strat: heaps of that classic spank, balanced by a crisp treble and a controlled, round low end. If you're hankering for a simple and effective daily player, here's a good one!

Cosmetic condition is very good except for a ding on the top. Other expected wear around the body which has been photographed for your viewing. Neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back is pretty clean, just some light scuffs and scratches along the belly carve and bottom edge.

The neck is nice and straight with a nice low action. The intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly.
